Have you ever gone out and looked at what everyone does in their every day life or do for fun? I like to travel around, so I went to Port Clinton Ohio, I saw a fisherman fishing as the sun was setting and had to capture that moment. It seemed relaxing even though it was cold. Then I began to wonder, what do people do after work on a weekend? So, I drove to Cleveland Ohio for a party that my friend had told me about. There even was a band called Old Skool Cleveland playing that night. I was lucky my camera battery was on full. I had fun and was able to capture some of the bands gig. I however missed the set up and tear down, overall, it was a fun night.
Being a photojournalist may seem like it is a piece of cake, but it was stressful. It was hard to find certain events around my area, you got to keep your eyes open, ask around, go out and search for things to capture. Some events got canceled on days I didn’t have to work especially since I only get two days off. It was even hard to request a day off to go to Cleveland for an event. Overall the stress of trying to meet deadlines in this assignment, I know what it’s like to be a photojournalist. It’s a stressful job, but in the end it is worth it. Just watching everyone have fun and smile all around made the job seem like more fun. It is also good to let loose and have fun after a job well done.
After going out a lot, looking for events or every day lifestyle. I realized that everyone doesn’t just sit at home in their pajamas and eat pizza in front of Netflix, they don’t hide behind the computers on Facebook. They go out and do things, they create time to do something active.
